HACKING PHASES

Concepts and basics about Ethical Hacking and hacking phases.

There are five phases in hacking. Not necessarily a hacker has to follow these steps sequentially. It is a gradual process and, when followed, produces a better result. When we talk about ethical hacking, you use only the first three of these phases.

• Phase 1 – Reconnaissance
• Phase 2 – Scanning
• Phase 3 – Gaining Access
• Phase 4 – Maintaining Access
• Phase 5 – Covering Tracks
